The following is the clear crackle glaze we use here at the college :

Clear Crackle for Raku

Colemanite 80 %
Potash Feldspar 20
100 %

For copper metallic (iridescent rainbow colors) add 5 % copper
carbonate and 10 % Red Iron Oxide.

Here are two recipes for white crackle which I use repeatedly in Raku firing:

BARIUM WHITE CRACKLE

Colemanite 60 grams
BuckSpar(K-200) 50 grams
Barium Carbonate 22 grams
Silica 16 grams.

Of course you can multiply these quantities by whatever factor you want to
get the quantity you want to make up.

Another excellent white crackel given by Piepenburg is:
45% Gerstley Borate
35% Wood Ash
15% Flint
5% Zinc Oxide.
