For Rachel T.
If the Randall wheel with motor is in very good condition and at $500, I
would say "Get it!" It takes up a lot of floor space, so if that is a
consideration, you might look further. Check the index of advertisers at
the back of Ceramics Monthly. I am pretty sure that the company is still in
business.

I have bucket head on my Randall wheel.
Would like to purchase a Randall "standard head" that accepts bats.
Thank You,
bruce

All you have to do is to heat up the head with a propane torch, not all that
hot, tap it with a hammer and with a pair of gloves on your hands twist and
lift and you will have the bucket head off in 3 minutes.....Done it a bunch

I am looking for a source for parts for my Randall wheel. I need the
friction drive and the switch for the motor. I only use it for trimming
now, but with the electric function gone it makes that process longer and
a LOT more tiring. Anyone have any ideas?
Jerry DiFiglio on fri 27 apr 07
I bought the switch from Harbor Freight. Just bring the old one with you
and they will match it up.
Good luck--
Jerry

I got some friction wheels from a washing machine repair man. Just make sure
the axle diameter is right.

Where is the Randall wheel located?
Bill Merrill on wed 16 nov 11
From the Seattle/Portland area:
A student of mine is looking for a Randall wheel. If anyone knows of
one please let me know. If there is one outside of the West coast let
me know also so I can pass the info on to him.
