For Tamsin A. Whitehead, who recently wrote:
"I have problems with my lower back and am planning to buy one of those
braces that strap around the waist and lower back area to help while I am
working, and I was just wondering if any of you have experience with these,
would recommend them or not, or would highly recommend a particular type or
brand."
Several people on the AOL Needlecrafts bulletin boards comment that the type
of brace sold in sewing catalogs such as Nancy's Notions or Clothilde's, has
helped them avoid backache during hours of sewing. The brace advertised
apparently helps you hold back your shoulders to avoid a "hunched-over"
posture. I have not tried it myself. Good luck!
