Greetings:
Thanks for responses. I will do my best to respond to the requests for more
information. I will send information out when I can. I want to be sure I
don't pass on some plan or tech. that turns out to be a disaster. I've
completed five firings so far. I've gotten glazes that rival anything I've
seen or done in cone 11. I sincerely hope this process is as good as it
seems - for my own future as well as anyone else who might want to do this
kind of firing. Every firing has finished between 2 and 2 1/4 hours without
exception. I pack up the ports with fiber and let stand for about 9 hours.
I have written web pages for other people but just haven't got around to
doing my own site. Last week I took shots of my kiln and studio and some
pots and am having them put on a cd-rom. Once I get a site set up I will
get the pics up as soon as possible.
Same goes for my program. I want everything working and up to speed before
distributing. I am also struggling with the installation program microsoft
supplies for this kind of programming language. There are some windows95
system files that get kinda excited when the install starts...I will get it
out as soon as I can ....
PS. Tonight I went down to cover some just-thrown pots and found my kiln
shed about 25 feet away from its original position. My new fiber kiln was
about 15 feet in the same direction -upside down! Most of the shelves are
broken and the contents of the kiln shed were strewn everywhere...
One metal garbage can that was sitting beside the kiln shed was untouched.
While both of my 100 pounders were lying down a few feet away.
Kinda sounds like a little twister eh? I hope I can salvage my aluminum
shed.
I hope this doesn't delay my schedule too much.
Boo Hoo!
