Your project is what i have been working on for awhile now. I developed
a range of very bright, intense overglazes at ^04 using various
combinations of stain, gerstley, and a little ball clay. And everything
was working and selling just fine except for afew porosity problems as
is wont with earthenware. I added 10% flint to my clay body to do the
cristobalite squeeze, but occasionally would get crazing. so anyway i
thought i would try the overglazes at ^6. Not being too optimistic
because i thought they would run because of the GB -not so . This is the
base glaze I used-
Kona f4 - 55
Gerst. Bor.- 10
whiting - 8
EPK - 6
flint - 6
Superpax - 15
bentonite - 3
This is a studio glaze here at the u of m. Its agood start for what your
asking, but ithink it could be improved upon. It crawls a little when
applied very thick,- its name is SUPER WHITE. i was just in the process
of looking for other glazes to test, so let me know if you have any,
thanks
