The drive wheels for Lockerbie wheels can be had from numerous suppliers
(The Archie Bray Foundation 800 443-6434 stocks them, but I prefer the ones
for Randal wheels, if you are building you own. There have been other posts
on how to get thesedrive wheels from appliance suppliers (they drive some
dryers) but I would look in a new Ceramics Monthly for an ad from Randal.

The weather has calmed down, firing a difficult reduction kiln. Going to
clean my desk and try to get some clay done this afternoon.

I am in the process of motorizing four old kick wheels this way.
I believe you can find them at an appliance repair shop as the drive wheels on
clothers dryers.

Hi Leon
Up here in the frozen north, a great supply of rubber drive wheels is the
ever-present hockey puck. They have to be drilled out in the middle, but
last me for a few months. At a dollar or two, it's not a bad deal!
