Thank you for the many responses to my salt/fiber inquiry and the offers
to let me know more about ITC after you do some firings (including
salt). I'm pleased we smoked out my pottery guru from Cerro Coso
Community College even if it did alter his hairstyle (hairstyle?)
(Joke...or that g symbol). He approves of Clayart, of course, and has
made it available in the pottery lab for his students but seldom has
time to check it out himself. I didn't ask you directly, Paul, because
even teachers are entitled to some down time. School's out! Whichever
way we go, I'll let the list know what happens...after a couple of trips
this summer where I'll be looking at all the pots I can find. We'll
meander across country through Kentucky/Tennessee to North Carolina
either in the summer or early fall. Ramble #2, or #1, will be coupled
with Vince's Ancient Clay workshop in Washington state at Michael
McDowell's place, and take us on into British Columbia, especially some
of the islands between the mainland and Vancouver island. Any
suggestions for places and pots/studios to see? Any open studio days
available? Thanks one more time.

A friend of mine, Shane Tidmore is going to be in British Columbia all
summer. He will be firing the kiln at Nainaimo. I understand the Tozan
Society will be firing the noborigama over the summer. Perhaps, other
people on the list may have more information.
