Designing and building a salt kiln is alot of fun/work, but there is little
i could tell you over clayart that would be of help. Sounds like you are
starting from square one. Get the Rhodes Kiln Book, that's a help (did you
see Tuesday's clayart?). Other than that, contact me directly. I'm in
Spartanburg,SC, and might be able to help you design and build it. My fee,
of course, would be to get a few pieces in the first firing :)
Starting a kiln is intimidating, but ultimately, you just gotta
trust your instincts and go for it! Let me know if I can help.
