A few days ago, someone posted a question about the use of crackle glazes on
dinnerware, which IMHO was a legitimate question. The only dumb question is
the one that's never asked? Anyway, I found J Herbert's response to that
question as nothing more than a "self righteous, cheap shot," aimed at
putting a "naive neophyte" in their place. The response was certainly not
meant to provide the person with any insight or help. The upshot of J
Herbert's reply was: Why don't you just poison your customers with lead? I
am paraphrasing because I didn't save the post. A direct answer to the
question would have been much more appropriate than resorting to "Sand box
ju-jitsu," if I may steal that term from Jens Morrison.

Anyone has the right to post whatever they want, but this kind of response is
really unnecessary
