I have purchased Vitrofil or Multifil from Laguna, and it is ground
up glass... and rather inexpensive. Can't remember the mesh size but it
is rather fine. Seems like this would be a great alternative to grinding
you own glass... Potters have enough things to do and worry about as it
is... and that is my 2 cents worth.... Marshall
