I am getting readly to do a sawdust firing in a small trash can and am
wanting to add Salt to the Sawdust. I have very little info. to go on
how to do this so all your help would be greatful. What kind of salt do
I add, is it like rock salt or table salt? Do I let the salt touch the
pieces or not? Do I pack the sawdust in the container or just nice and
loose?

All help on this would be great?
Thanks You All

Kevin,
Get yourself a copy of "Sawdust Firing" by Karin Hessenberg, its in the
Complete Potter series published in the UK by Batsford. It is in all
respects an excellent book covering almost all aspects of low
firing, with reference to the work of many well known Potters.
