The first line of the announcemnet of the science and art in ceramics
conference was not mailed correctly. The correct message, with the
conference dates, follows.

SCIENCE and ART in CERAMICS.

From 21-23 October 1996 a meeting on "Science and Art in Ceramics"
will be held at The Royal Institution, London. The aim will be to
bring together scientists, artists and engineers who make or use
ceramics in some way. The primary themes are:

Archaeological/Historical Ceramics
Colour in Ceramics
Processing and Firing
Form and Fine Art
Building Materials
High Tech Ceramics
Ceramics at the Atomic Level

During the three days there will be 22 invited review-type lectures
covering the main themes, plus an exhibition and poster session.
Contributions to the exhibition and poster session are welcome.
