I was wondering if anyone knew if you can use a high fire wire for an
armature for say, arms on a sculpture, using water-based clay naturally. Does
it fire ok???

I see no reason why you cannot use high fire wire for armature support. What
you must be careful about is trapped air and thickness of the sculpture if
you are going to fire the piece. You may be better off making the peice
solid and carving our the insides and reassembling, See this months CM
article "The Deities of Sound" by; Brian Ransom. You will see what I mean.
