I Hope the SHIMPO people dont get upset at the shRimpo in several posts, here.
To the point- I absolutely agree- DO NOT make an electrical connection
modification to the wheel or its controller, without SPECIFIC instructions
from Shimpo. Adding capacitors or whatever to the wires, directly, is not a
good idea.
My suggestion, (that I had not tested in this particular application),
involved a non-electrical change, of a device designed to suppress high
frequency (RF) energy, without making a metal-to metal connection at all.
The Filter Choke is a magnetic, powder metalurgy device that clips around
the suspected wire, and interacts with the field caused by the RF. (that
should not be there in the first place.)
Bill- hoping this helps, and awaiting a report (good or bad), in the fog
