I am looking for a good reliable carrier... I refuse to use USPS for
anything that is breakable... Has anyone had positive experience with RPS
(Roadway Parcel Service) or any other similar carrier? Perhaps I will just
have to wait it out... Thanks... Marshall

UPS cant be beat they insure anything properly packed to $100.00 and you can
buy additional insurance for about .40 cents per $100.00. They also have
settled claims with me over tha phone with out any hassle.
Good luck finding something better...

USPS means the US Postal Service and... UPS means United Parcel Service..
and I agree with you- I prefer UPS over USPS.... Marshall

In my experience, RPS is not the way to go. I work at a Hallmark store
that specializes in collectibles, and we rarely use RPS. Things shipped
with them are more frequently claimed because of breakage than they are
with UPS, which carries about 95% of our shipments. Of course, if you
are in a bind, and need something to get to someone quickly, with the
recent UPS strike, RPS would be much better than USPS for breakable items.

USPS is U.S. Postal Service.. Correction... RPS is Roadway Package
System... when I called RPS yesterday I was informed that they were not
taking on any new customers in the U.S. and I suppose that leaves Fed Ex
for me to check out...

>>I refuse to use USPS for anything that is breakable...

I was saying a few days ago that I'd rather put each pot in a bottle and
throw them in the ocean than use USPS but I have 15 boxes (16"X16"X29")
that needed to be shipped last Friday.

>>Has anyone had positive experience with RPS (Roadway Parcel Service) or
any >>other similar carrier?

They're not accepting any new customers at this time per the statement on
their web site:www.shiprps.com. FWIW, one of my biggest customers
absolutely does not want me to ever use RPS. They must have had a
USPS-like experience with them in the past.

>>Perhaps I will just have to wait it out...

Me too. It really bites.
