Hi everyone,
a recent post on kiln shelves seemed to suggest that cordierite
refractories are as good as carborundum and much cheaper too.
Since I will need to replace my shelves sometime soon I'm
wondering if I can save some money without sacrificing on
quality by purchasing the clay shelves. I fire ^9-10 red. and
I use 13X19 in. shelves. Any advice appreciated, sorry if this
subject has come up before but refractories are a serious
investment for me.
thanks, Jon Pettyjohn Manila clayjon@ibm.net
