I remember reading in here a while back about a substance that can be
added to the water you throw with to make it slicker to relieve pressure
on the wrists and such. Does anybody remember what this substance is,
and where it could be obtained. My professor was interested in the idea
of it and was interested in further information. TIA.

I vaguely remember the name of this as Methocyl or Methocyl Celluose.
Somewhere in my studio I have a sample of this stuff. If you need further
information let me know and I can check it out. I think I may also have some
material from the manufacturer.

The substance was methyl cellulose, wall paper glue/paste, get it at your
local hardware - cheap. Add just a little to a bucket of water and let it
set for a day to fully dissolve. Really slick.

June, you are right. Dow Corning makes a methyl cellulose. Makes a real
slick water lubricant. Try it! Nils
