For S Barth: Yes when hi-fire is on a kiln switch, past the *high* mark, it is used to fire the kiln beyond cone 2 or cone 3. I do not know that brand but have an old Duncan, so marked. That type kiln probably shouldn't be fired above cone 8. Bacia Edelman
