Question for the list,
My experience with salt and soda firing is very limited during my college
years, yet I have fallen in love with those pieces most of all. Now I am at
a point in my work where I would like to get back into firing with soda. The
kiln is planned for construction on some rural property, yet I am concerned
that the fumes from soda may cause a preblem for the neighbors, maybe 50-100
yards away.
I have been absorbing all the lists' facts and feelings on salt but would
like to have some more on soda.
Is soda less toxic, less environmentally harmful, etc.?
