I am looks for a formula for a softbrick like clay body? One that could
be either cast into a mold or pressed into a mold? Just guessing off of
the top of my head I would think that a regular clay body could be
modified with the addition of maybe some: fine sawdust, grog, corn meal,
vermiculite? I have a sculpture in mind and I could buy soft brick and
then glue the bricks together but I'd like to avoid seeing the glue
seams. I've been searching the net and library but haven't come up with
anything as of yet. I have seen that one manufacturer of softbrick adds
a "uniform organic material" during the mixing process. Another
reference said something about adding a foaming agent to the mixing
process for softbricks but no indication as to what that agent might be.
Any ideas, formulas or tips as to where I might look?

Thanks
