Hello to everyone in clay cyber land :)
I have a question to open up for a discusion . The
color "BLUE" Why is it a dislike color among most
potters and loved by veryone else?
To be realy honest I realy don't like it as a color
for a glaze and I have been avoiding it like the pleag, However
I know it sooner or later I will be of force to come up
with a blue glaze. That will help people to by my pots.
This is just something to think about thats all

I am just catching up on my mail. This post caught my attention.
I have a friend who used to say, "Just glaze it blue and it will sell."
He usually meant by that the pot was a poor design, and there are
a lot of aesthetically disadvantaged people out there.
I remember my first terms in Ceramics. The instructors make it known
that shinny and blue glazes were unacceptable. I carried that
prejudice for several years. Now I feel the problem isn't that blue is
bad, rather there are many bad blue glazes out there. There are
still aesthetically disadvantaged people buying those bad
blue glazes. I have seen many blue glazes on pots in galleries that
I thought were very attractive.
Tricklings from a time disadvantaged person,
