I am a high school art teacher in Texas. I have a senior student who is
looking for a college that has a strong ceramics program. He prefers
Texas--maybe somewhere around SanAntonio, but that is not definite at
this point. Might someone have any suggestion so I can start him going
and checking. Thanks so much.

There are several possibilities in Texas, spread about pretty
thoroughly. His area of interest will make a difference in
what/where/who he chooses. I'll list several; there are more.
University of Dallas, (Dan Hammett)
University of Austin/San Antonio (Steve Reynolds)
A&M Corpus Christi (Louis Katz)
University of North Texas (Elmer Taylor, Jerry Austin)
University of Texas, Austin (Herron)
Southwest Texas State, San Marcos (Michelle Conroy)
A&M Commerce, (Barbara Frey)
There are other possibilities, too; the schools will vary in
what they emphasize - functional, sculptural, etc.
