Hi Leddi;
On your question about applying stains. First bisque the piece you
want to apply stain to; then brush on a liquid solution of the stain. After
it is dry was off with a wet sponge. Any creases or even the texture of the
clay will retain the glaze. When I did this I was using a mid temp clay
(stoneware); so I bisqued to cone 6 first; applied the stain solution; wiped
and then fired to cone 6. Worked great! I even applied the stain with a
damp sponge to get a layered effect.
