stilts are us!!

We've done alot of contract work that requires using stilts. Some thoughts ...

We are quite partial to Roselli stilts. I think they are made in
Philadelphia and use pointed wires
embeded in the refractory clay. These are available in many configurations
from your supplier. The wires leave only a small mark on the glazed
surface.

We have been removing stilt marks with either an abrasive point on the
Dremel, or better yet, an assortment of diamond points (from McMaster Carr
Supply) using water to cool the point.

IMHO, the double pointed clay stilts leave huge marks that require lots of
grinding and appear as blemishes in the glaze surface.
