The 1996 STRICTLY FUNCTIONAL POTTERY NATIONAL is over.
The unsold pieces are on their way back.
The checks for the sold pieces will be mailed next week.

The statistics:
722 entries, 83 accepted by juror Phyllis Blair Clark.
Sold: 52% of the 81 pieces that arrived for the exhibit (up from 35% last
year). And there were two orders from one of the artists.
The exhibit will remain on the web through June for sure. We are
investigating the cost of keeping it on-line or at least leaving the prize
winners posted. http://www.art-craftpa.com

I have done a lot of volunteer jobs for the Market House Craft Center and
the PA Guild of Craftsmen through the years. This was the BEST. I loved
almost every minute of it. I took over the chairmanship rather late in the
planning (January), but things went very smoothly. We had many volunteers
that helped. Our wrap-up committee meeting is next month, and we will be
dealing with all the suggestions that were made earlier regarding
exhibitions, their cost, insurance etc. Thank you for all your ideas. If
any of you are close to southeast PA and wish to be involved, you are
welcome.

Next year our juror will be Val Cushing. Plan now for your 1997 entry!
