ALAIMO CINDY on thu 7 aug 97

My fiancee is graciously creating a "shed" or space for me to house an
electric kiln, and use as basic storage space for my works in progress. I
am a member at a potters
guild in boulder, where I throw, use the slab roller and other misc.
equipment.
Our architect friend who is drafting the plans for the structure is
wanting to know if there is anything I want to
have architecturally included in the plans. I am asking you for
suggestions. I know must have electrical capacity and venting for kiln.

Cindy - My dream is a long through in the floor which empties to
the outside or acts as a giant trap - this is covered by a grid to
walk on - the idea is so that you can just hose down the floor
into the trough-drain. Karen Gringhuis

Sounds great, but how do you envision dealing with the silting up, both in
the trough and in whatever the trough is draining into? Asking because I
will be building a studio on rock, only drainage to our own septic field or
possibly to settling tanks once I work out how to deal with them.
