HI folks....
Been a lurker for quite some time. Figured I'd use this medium to try to
find some studio space in Seattle, WA or share an existing space. I
already have applications in at Pottery Northwest & Seward Park. Looking
for something a bit more private.
Moved here from Alfred, NY where I was a "non-traditional" (read 36 at
the time) student at Alfred U working on a BFA in ceramic arts &
sculpture. Now I'm working a full time job as a Macintosh computer tech &
need to get my hands back into the clay. I'd love to get to a point where
I can kiss the day job good-bye.... but reality tells me ... it's paying
the bills....and I do like to eat. So.... I'd like to start this new
journey a step at a time.
Been looking at studio spaces...... but startup cost seem a bit
prohibitive right now. If I could get into an existing studio/co-op that
would be great! :) I love it here in Seattle and have a feeling that this
will be my home for some time to come. As long as I'm sending
wishes/needs out into the electronic universe.....If you know of any clay
related job openings send that info along as well. Heck....even if you
don't know of any studios or jobs and just want to make yourself known to
another ceramic artist/potter/object maker....feel free.
