Hello Vince and others:
I would like to thank Vince for the wealth of information he has
shared with Clayart, including two lucid posts yesterday on firing
updraft kilns and oxy cleanup.
I have a question about this bubbling thing.... I have seen how
some glazes tend to bubble in a reduction atmosphere, especially
on the inside surface of vessels, especially if there is an overlapping
of more than one glaze. Can anyone explain where these bubbles are
coming from and why the process is more pronounced in reduction?
TIA
