On the whole, I must agree in essence with Mel. Talent without persistence
and passion is nothing. There are all kinds of quibbles and
"what-about-this" that could be engaged in, but in the end clever hands and
seeing eyes are not enough. Something happens when we work, and doesn't
when we don't: persist.

Carla, why should a child (and in this culture I use that word advisedly) of
high school age HAVE to decide what they want to do with the rest of their
