I have a friend who is moving to TAOS, NM- I am requesting
input(name/address/phone...) on the
closest ceramic suppliers and distributors. Are there other stores other
than Santa Fe Clay Company in Santa Fe? What suupliers are located in
Albuquerque?

thanks

The only other one I know of is Ceramic King here in Albuquerque. They are
limited though, as well as Santa Fe Clay.

Hi,
Congrats to your friend on the impending move. I get stuff delivered from
Ceramic King in Albuquerque (800-781-CLAY -- they also have a website
somewhere, but url escapes me). They carry Laguna clays and a good selection
of chemicals. They hit Taos once or twice a month with deliveries, but
charge for delivery. $30 to me, at the half-way point. Clays and oddball
frits you can get from Mile-High in Denver or Laguna's Denver outpost.

I just got back from Alb., Santa Fe, and Taos. I purchased some Mica
clay from. Coyote Craft School in Albuquerque. I haven't had a chance to
use it yet,
but I really liked what I saw that was done there in the school. He
also has some other clays and glazes you might be interested in. I
really enjoyed my visit & he was very intersesting. I believe that Martin
Butt is the owner. He used to have Porcelain and Stoneware of Alb.
