Greetings fellow clay addicts!!!

In my class at UNCG, there is a woman from Chile who is visiting her
uncle who is a prof at UNCG. She speaks Spanish and some English, and
does some sort of molded ceramics at home which appear not to be the same
type as the "hobby ceramics" we have here. We have 2 problems:
1. Language barrier
2. Time constraints - she goes back to Chile on Feb 20.

I have had a grand total of 2 semesters college Spanish, so we _can_
communicate in general, but the only Spanish word I know that has
anything to do with pottery is "arcilla" (clay), which I learned off a
box of clay! Can any of you help at all?

Elsbeth Woody has a wonderful Spanish version of her book
"Handbuilding Ceramic Forms". The Spanish title is
"Ceramica a mano"
If you could get a copy from Elsbeth or elsewhere it would be
a great help. I got it from her when she was at the Clay
Art Center in Port Washington, NY back in '85. Don't know
if she can still be reached there, but maybe someone has
her e-mail address.

Beth;
Elsbeth Woody can still be reached at the Clay Art Center at 40 Beech Street
Port Chester, New York10573, although she spends most of her time outside the
U.S. But not Port Washington--a different town on Long Island but also in
New York State!
