I have a favor to ask you.

My ceramics professor has gone ill, and will be out the rest of this
semester. I am urgently looking for a replacement for her. This
person would need to begin next week and work through May 12. I know
you've been working, but if you are interested or know a person with
an MFA in ceramics or MFA in sculpture with a ceramic emphasis who
might be, please put them in touch with me.

The salary for the partial semester will be prorated and fall
somewhere between 8-12k to work through May 12. The title would be
assistant professor. The position may include housing due to the
short and urgent nature of this search.

I hope to hear from you soon.

I got a phone call today from NYC ceramics teacher who will need
someone to take over her class in Staten Island, starting around
March 20 and going to the end of the school year in late June. Here
are the details:

Port Richmond HS in Staten Island, near the Bayonne Bridge (she
thinks that you'd likely need a car to get there). School day is 8:15
to 3:00. You need a Bachelor's degree, but not necessarily a teaching
certificate; you can get a per-diem substitute license. Her schedule
is five classes; four ceramics classes and one basic computer class.
If you don't know computers, that one would probably be easier for
the school to cover, but they do prefer that you teach that class.
Per-diem pay is (she thinks) around $140 a day.

If you are interested please contact Myunghae Yoon at: 718-448-9848
or call her cell at 347-262-9839.
