tessha glaze request

To reduction firers and Glaze enthusiasts,
Does anyone out there have a Tessha Glaze recipe? A friend of mine wants
one. I had a Tenmuku that behaved a bit like one, but I don't have a
dedicated recipe. All help appreciated.
Steve.

The following Tessha Glaze recipe is from the Feb '96 issue of Ceramics
Monthly.

Michael Simon Tessha Glaze (Cone 8-10 Reduction)
(Can be applied to leather hard pots for once firing.)

Whiting 18.52
Potash Feldspar 25.72
Ball Clay 27.88
Flint 27.88
Total 100.00%

ADD: Red Iron Oxide 11.32%

Steve there seems to be a question as to what defines a Tessha Glaze. It's
definitely a Iron Saturated glaze type, whether or not any of these glazes
below fit your idea of what one is let me know.
I tend to feel that this glaze type will work best in the middle or the lower
half of the kiln for a good medium reduction. The thickness of the glaze I
feel is also important. Don't apply to thinly. When testing small amounts of
glazes I like to start out with equal milliliters of water as grams of glaze.
Later if it is a winner, there's no guessing how much water to add.
Here are some glazes to try, good luck.
