This is just my opinion, but I would just like to make a small observation
here - I've been following this thread on barium admit that I am getting a
bit fed up with what I see as "talking down" others.
I freely admit that I know next to nothing about chemistry, testing for toxic
emmissions or can even follow with a reasonable chance of intelligently
understanding a lot of what you folks are discussing because it is way over
my head. After a few minutes I can feel my eyes start to glaze over and I
lose the ablility to even focus on the text. However, I still try and wade
through it and learn more about the love of my life - clay.
However, I do know that when people deliberately leave out things to "stir
the pot" which Monona seems to delight in doing, this is a willful attempt to
control others by, putting it plainly, lying. When you deliberately leave
things out, that is called lying. Also, from being in college twenty years
or so ago, I also know that you can get facts and figures to say just about
anything you want them to regardless of what the truth may actually be.
I respect the fact that Monona is a "expert" in her field. I also understand
that her mission in life is to make humanity safe from the bad stuff that we
are expossed to on a daily basis, but reading her missives is an exercise in
trying to find the bits and pieces of truth that the common person can use
through what appears to be a very large ego.
Shredding people to pieces is not what this formum is about and she has been
using very sharp claws. It's about getting information out there and helping
people, NOT trying to ram things down others throats. I really wish that
Monona, or any one else using the same tactics, would stop it. There is so
much that people offer here and I really enjoy the learning so let's keep the
information flowing, but cut out the ego stuff. Please.
Just my two cents worth. Soon we'll have enough for a cup of coffee, or tea.
