OK, KP did something dumb -- not the first time, of course. I went
looking into the difference between my numbers, Insight Numbers and
Glazebase numbers. The differences I observed are explained by the
diifferences in the raw material assumptions.
Glazebase numbers will get you close to where you need to be -- better
than a bus to Praia Daneila (where I live) here in Florianopolis.
Actually, it's not so bad, but at night the "Cinderelinha" -- the slang
for the last bus -- leaves at 11:00 -- kinda early, I think.
Sorry if my earlier remarks caused any confusion and please contribute
to the Glazebase. I am hopeful to crunch numbers on it one day as there
are some highly interesting relationships rolling around in there.
Abracos,

Just to confirm what Karl Platt said most recently, the percentage
analyses in the GlazeBase listings are indeed percentage analyses by
weight. All of them are calculated using HyperGlaze, and yes, material
analyses for the individual glaze ingredients do vary - we may not all be
working with the same numbers. However, all glazes in the GlazeBase were
calculated using the same database of analyses, so the numbers should be
consistent and reasonably accurate.
