Hi All,
I would like to use terra cotta tiles instead of bricks for a outdoor
patio. Part of the area is dirt and the other is a cemet walk way with
stairs. Steps would be covered too. I was thinking of use 6x6 tiles. Here
are the questions:
Can I use terra cotta or do I need stoneware to with stand the Pa
winters?
Can I leave the tiles unglazed and do a light smoking?
How thick should the tile be?
Sand is used to set the bricks, what do I use for the tiles, sand?
I was thinking of using cement to attach tiles to the steps, is this
right?
Any information would be great, thank you all!!
I will let the list know how this all works out!!
Carol OK ENOUGH HUMIDITY!!

Carol,
I too was wondering about doing terra cotta tiles outside.......but in
Oregon. I thank you for asking these questions
I have another question..... concern..... The terra cotta tiles....or
any tiles are pretty slippery when wet. It rains all the time (at least
it seems that way) in Oregon. Is there a way to make them not so
slippery?
