trimming problems/get a giffon grip

Adding to all the other wise advice: The best tool I ever bought is the
Giffon Grip, its pricey but it has saved me so much time and hassle I
feel I've been twice as productive these past few months. I believe it
has even enhanced my control over the final shape of the piece, no more
having to hide half of the vase in a chuck only to pull it out and
discover an uneven transition. I sympathize with you my weakness has
always been in trimming, I used to loath having to sit down and ruin the
nice forms I had made. It took me a long time to give up the money for
the Giffon, but alas it was well worth it, the first day I trimmed
twenty five pots with ease in one hour, mind boggling. As for trimming
the bottom to the right thickness really try to tap and listen to how
the sound resonates, soon it begins to tell you how thick it is.

My Griffin Grip has gotten out of whack some way. It does not seem to
center as well as it used to. Any one else out there with the same
problem?
