Hello all,
Does anyone have any reliable underglaze formulas to share? Or, does anyone
have a good book of underglaze formulas to recommend. I would like to make
my own colors (palette of colors) rather than buy them by the bottle.
Thank you

For underglaze recipes, try Robin Hopper's Ceramic Spectrum. I think
it has a base recipe altered for several different cones, a how-to
section on making your own, and suggested perameters for oxide
additions for a rainbow of colors. It's an expensive book, but I've
found it worth every penny! Good Luck! Julie

Thank you, Julie, for your post. I've been searching for ^10 underglazes
and didn't even think about Robin's book, although I have it, took his
course, and use that info constantly for glazes. Didn't even think
about underglazes. You're a doll.
