Please share your LOVE OF ITALY. Studio mate will be visiting Italy
dec/Jan and would GREATLY APPRECIATE any & all travel advisories of
CLAY PEOPLE, interesting SITES, MUSEUMS, etc - particularly PEOPLE.
(Great little restaurants wouldn't be bad either.)Primarily in ROME
FLORENCE & VENICE. (Of course! I wish I were going along.)

Karen,
I have visited Italy many times and have done grad work in Venice, but I have
also spent two summers in a town called FAENZA which is the ceramics hub for
majolica. They have A wounderful ceramics museum and many ceramic artists to
visit. I feel this would be a great place for you to visit if you truly want
to be in a non tourist town which specializes in ceramics.
