After I had a problem with some tiles that are approximately 3/8" thick
cracking in the ver center, I tried the trick of painting wax resist around
the edges.
Now after firing, Standard's #103 clay, all of the tiles have a skummy stain
at the edge of the wax resist and where the wax may have had bubbles in the
surface. I'm firing at cone 04.
Help! What am I doing wrong? I'm painting them when they are leather hard.
The only label on the Wax Resist is the one put on by my dealer, Mid-South
Ceramics.
