We've just had a delightful weekend in Naples and couldn't wait to tell
you about it. Where, oh where, to begin?
Marshall, with, I don't think he'll mind my revealing, a little help
from his son and Celia's father, has built an impressive, fine gallery.
The array of work from all of -- oh, dear, it's 'us' but don't think I'm
boasting -- well then, 'us' Clayarters, was a sight to behold. The
range of forms, methods, and glazes would take semesters to discuss.
When can we begin the seminar?
Maine was, as ever, a breath of fresh air -- literally and figuratively.
Naples puts on a fun fireworks show, and a good time was had by all.
We spent, alas, not nearly enough time with Celia and Marshall and Marla
and Wint, but some was sure better than none. We only got to say 'Hi'
to Chris before he headed West. Marshall and Celia are gracious hosts,
juggling business and social affairs as if 'twere nothing. We extend
our public, wholehearted thanks to them for making us feel at home.
Back in Cresskill [I won't bore you with the details of the debacle of a
return trip] and planning our next sojourn in Maine,
