Kurt,
Did you write the page yourself? If so, you can put in the links
yourself. All you need is the correct html tag to do so. For example,
if you were going to put a link on your page to MY page, you would put
the following HTML tag on your page:

Lisa Skeen

Where it says "Lisa SKeen" in the above lines will show up on your page
in whatever your link color is and if someone clicks on LISA SKEEN, they
will get transferred over to my page. In order to link to somewhere
else, you'd need to replace my web address in the above tag with some
other web address. Just be sure to use the " " or it won't work.

In order to get your page listed with the internet search engines,
(Yahoo, Infoseek, Web Crawler, etc.), go to each one of them and click on
their Add Url icon and follow directions. It takes awhile, but they'll
list you for free.

Good luck, and write if you need more info.

Most of the major search engines have an "Add URL" button on their
pages. Some of them give additional links to places to add your page to.
I don't think sales justifies paying someone to advertise your site, yet
anyway.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe that any of the Big seven (Alta Vista,
Infoseek, WebCrawler, etc.) will add you to their database list for
free. However, since you might be classified as a business sight they
might want a fee. Anyway, go to one of their sites and they should have
info on registering your sight. Hope this helps.

You have to log it in with the major catelogs ie, Yahoo, etc. Then you
put it on your business cards and tell allyour email freinds and business
acquaintences about it. Still, it's not there for sales, just reference.
forget sales. You'll feel better about it.

Kurt-

Here's a few sites to get started-these are some of the most popular
ones. As I find more I'll send them to you.

Yahoo http://www.yahoo.com
Excite http://www.excite.com
Web Crawler http://webcrawler.com
Lycos http://www.lycos.com
Alta Vista http://www.altavista.com
Submit It! http://www.submit-it.com (look under Free Services-they
list about 20 different sites to add your URL to

Also, there's a newsgroup called (I think this is right but I'll check)
comp.internet.net-happenings - great place to announce a new site. Also,
again, many people on this list give their web site addresses and I'm
sure many would be willing to list your site in return for a link to
theirs on your site.

Good luck and have fun. It will take some time to get listed but well
worth it. Let me know if you have any more questions. I've been working
on the net for about 2 years for my company.
