Webster defines "Artist" : One who professes and practices an imaginative art.
"Artisan" : one trained to manual dexterity or
skill in a trade.

(Also, dija know cute is short for acute and is defined: clever and
shrewd. (:-) )

Since 1977 I've called myself a potter, craftsperson, artiste, clay person,
earthy woman - friends introduce me as an artist. Sometimes I
differentiate between artist and Artist - in my mind, the difference has
to do with imagination and compulsion - perhaps a "real" artist is so
consumed that nothing else is possible - like Picasso.

PS. Tom ...who is totally amazed at a flock of
20 (very beautiful "blue") Indigo Buntings nesting in my woods.

Where are you? I want to see. (:-o

The lilacs are fragrant, tulips are glowing and frost danger is nearly past.
