Jan,

I'm neither mechanical nor a linear thinker, but I know of a couple
reasons for removing a wheelhead. One, if there is a problem with the
shaft mechanism or the wheelhead itself, the wheelhead may need to be
removed. Two, if you have a Shimpo Master Series wheel and desire to
install the large more-or-less permanent splash pan, the wheelhead needs
to be removed first. Three, if you ARE of a mechanical bent and are
incredibly curious like some people's support persons, then you might
remove the wheelhead just to see what's happening in there.

I tried to direct e-mail, Jan, but message was rejected. I don't like
Daemon.

In the Mojave sorry about the flood, but enjoying the moist, damp feel
to the skin, carpet and furniture. Strange... we've been out of
Kentucky too long, maybe...
