This sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure how much the hotel will like
it. Are we willing to put up a deposit for rug cleaning if necessary? I
personally keep a neat shop but have visited many a studio where the
splatters of clay abound.

What about each of us bringing 3 mugs to show and have critiqued? I have a
mug I made in the '80s, several from the '90s and, of course, bunches from
yesterday. You can see the evolution of my handles by looking at the 3
pots. Then the most recent mug can go on the table for the exchange (one
less to lug home!).

Just a thought-

Zephyr Pottery.... 1/2 way out Long Island where the crocuses are blooming
and the other bulbs are sprouting. The tease of the 70F this past weekend
has drifted back down to 50s and 60s. Still, the cats are having fun
basking in the warm spots of the stronger sunlight and the sailors are
dreaming of launching the boats, catching the wind, and enjoying the Sound.

(snip)....there needs to be one evening in the New Orleans ClayArt room to
"get a handle on it".
All ClayArt members who want to enthusiastically participate in a handle
"pull" bring your best stuff and let's see what you got. This could be a
great sharing, fun, learning experience. I'm up to the challenge.
