it is the most common way to production throw in
the far east.
i saw it in china too.
the inside rib is the shape of the pot you want to make.
just half the pot.
you place the rib in the bottom of the pot and push til
you hit dead center.
now the bottom is perfect...and then you hold the
rib in place and pull the outside fingers up..slowly.
of course the rib is not a jigger...you must move the
rib in concert with the fingers.
it sure is a cool way to make a thousand pots all the same.
like most modern folks...`how long does it take to learn?
i don't want to mess with this more than an hour.`

it has diagrams of the process. total and complete instruction
as to making pots the same.
