Hi All,
It hadn't struck me before, but just looking at a picture of a kiln
spewing forth (well that's overstating it a little) flame, that flames
issue from ports, flues etc because hot unburnt gases finally
encounter enough oxygen to burn, once they leave the reduction
environment of the kiln.
Never thought of it like that before. Probably not news to anyone
(if its the case), but I figured I'd toss it out there in case anyone
had corrections or comments.
Thanx

Dear Dan Semler ,
Could be a good thing that is happening. Without ignition the escaping =
gas would gradually pollute the air you are breathing with Carbon =
Monoxide. Bye! Bye! Birdie ! !.
Take care,=20
Best regards,
Ivor
