OK, guys, I wrote a post about the wood firing at EMU in excruciating
detail, and it was sooooo loooong I couldn't make myself post it to
clayart, even if I AM the mayor's pet.

So I put it on my blog instead, with photos of the kiln and Patrick and
stuff. Pot photos will come later this week (we unload on Tuesday.)

So if you want to read it, or just see the pix, it's at

'night all....

Yours
Kelly in Ohio, in a house full of kids, where today I found rubber
snakes in my bed, plastic wrap stretched under the toilet seat, the
kitchen sink sprayer taped in the "on" position, whoopie cushions and
other assorted April-foolery.

So when Tyler came to tell me a little neighbor girl down at the creek
threw a rock at Molly's head and she might need stitches, I scolded him
for carrying April Fools too far. Sadly, he wasn't kidding. Molly's OK,
no stitches, but jeez a small cut on the head can generate a lot of
scary looking blood!

(Btw once we got Molly cleaned up, a very worried-looking little girl
showed up at our door with her dad to apologize... Molly forgave her and
said it was just an accident, I reassured them that she's just fine, and
all's well that ends well... )

I thought I was the only one with the taped sprayer. got water thrown
onto my kitchen chair just as I was sitting down and my kids hid my
hearing aids so I'd be deaf for the rest of the day. Very thoughtful
children! Kathryn >
