we have been talking on the phone today.
we would both like to have the kiln next to us.
look at it.

from our first observation, we both agree
there seems to be far too much 213 on the elements.

it has to be thin...really thin.
i run it with water for 15 minutes on high in a blender.
you should not be able to see it on the elements when
you are done. i use about a 3 tablespoons for an entire kiln.
also...it seems to be a great deal of itc 100 piled in
the grooves.

it is one of the most common problems with itc.
if a cup is good, use a gallon.

itc works best when applied in a thin sheet.
in most cases, the thinner the better.
same for itc 213.

that is our first thoughts from the pix.
we will talk to feriz and see what he thinks..but, he
is on a travel junket.

nils also mentions to ivor that most of his information
on salt /soda is from the work of john neely at utah.
and, that is very good work. he does not have that
information at hand right now...all in boxes from his book.
