it looks like a new edition of the original first of 1991
will be published and released on may 19th, and this is the date
of the big opening of mackenzie's exhibition here in rochester,mn
(mn is MINNESOTA, not ny :) at the 'rochester art center'.
i hope that steven's pottersshop will carrie and sell the new
edition for a better price than this e-bay price!
the original price of the first edition was $65 and i see on
amazon some of them are selling at the used (out of print) shops
around $200.
if any of the clayarters plan to come to rochester,minnesota
to see the mackenzie exhibit (which will be beautiful and huge!)
make sure to let me know you are coming, i do live here, i might
even invite you for a coffee to drink from one of my mackenzie mug!
but i wont be here for the opening, my daughter is graduating from
the university of vermont on the very same weekend! so i'll be in
vermont (of course).

This isn't a new book, but is being reissued after Kodansha let it go
out of print.
Please check with the Potter's Shop. I am guessing, Northern
Clay Center will make it available too. Save your money!

hi brandon,
i checked both the ebay ad and amazon.com - it's not a "new" book, but
rather a re-issue of the book that was issued in Sept., 1995, - which
was a re-titled re-print of "Warren Mackenzie, Potter: A
Retrospective/Warren Mackenzie, Teacher Followers in the Functional
Tradition" by David Lewis (Paperback - Jun 1989). The eBay seller is
taking pre-orders for the book, due out May 19th.
Not exactly new, but it has been re-edited. Hope this helps... and
i'll get back to reading and lurking....
